What is Tantra?

The word “Tantra” literally means “to weave” or “to sew together.” Putting it simply, Tantra is any combination of practices, techniques and often, sacred texts, usually originating from India, that work to achieve the purpose of a healthy, happy, spirit-filled life.
Hinduism, Buddhism and other traditions have been using the ideas that would eventually be known as Tantra for nearly 6000 years. In recent decades, the shroud of mystery has been lifted somewhat, and this beautiful practice has spread across the globe.
Because it is holistic – incorporating body, mind and spirit – Tantra is perfect for everyone, including you! That’s right: you can reach deep into yourself with the correct guidance to be your happiest, healthiest, most energetic self ever.
